The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t off up many surprises on the Wednesday injury report before the team’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend.
Well, except one — Joe Burrow’s name was on it.
Now as a disclaimer, the Bengals listed Burrow as a full participant. But he’s listed with an elbow injury and as of this writing, there isn’t any further elaboration on the topic.
Given that Bengals fans undoubtedly feel some type of way about quarterbacks with elbow injuries thanks to the Carson Palmer era, it’s worth pointing out.
If Burrow doesn’t show up on Thursday’s injury report then this is hardly a big ordeal. But the team at least finding it important enough to follow league protocols by listing him at all classifies as interesting.
Otherwise, the Wednesday injury report was routine and the Bengals seem better off than the Buccaneers, an opponent set to likely miss several star players.
