Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow limped off the field on Sunday after throwing his second touchdown pass to put his team within three points of the visiting Baltimore Ravens.
Burrow appeared to be favoring the calf injury that cost him most of training camp and undoubtedly played a role in the putrid season opener against the Cleveland Browns, a 24-3 loss.
While Burrow wasn’t seen getting treatment from trainers on the sideline, he was massaging the issue after limping off, suggesting he either re-aggravated an issue or has been fighting through while not 100 percent.
Burrow didn’t get a chance to take the field again and was seen on the broadcast limping to midfield for the postgame.
Either way, it’s something to closely monitor as the Bengals look to right the ship.
