Barring a setback, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will play in Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway reported that Burrow is “going to try and go tonight” after that reported morning workout that would play a big role in deciding his status.
The news comes on the heels of a report that said internally, the Bengals were split on whether to risk Burrow. While the season seems like it’s on the line, there’s concern over his long-term health. Another report said Burrow took first-team reps during Sunday’s walkthrough. Then, the reveal that a Monday morning workout would say much about whether he suits up.
Keep in mind this could change depending on what does or doesn’t happen during pregame warmups, especially given the fickle nature of calf injuries. If Burrow’s starting, there will be an even bigger importance on keeping him clean with Aaron Donald in town.
