Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will already technically have an artifact involving him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame before he ever plays a down in the NFL.
According to the Hall of Fame itself on social media, the equipment used at Burrow’s home in Athens, Ohio during the 2020 NFL draft is finally in Canton and will reside there.
Burrow was the draft’s first pick and equipment stationed there by the NFL chronicled his reaction during a relatively traditional draft broadcast on networks.
The remote style of the draft was in response to the coronavirus pandemic and naturally, Burrow’s status as the first pick for a historic, unorthodox draft is something the NFL wanted to memorialize.
Here’s the official announcement from the Hall:
The latest artifacts to arrive to the Hall are from the historic 2020 #NFLDraft. This camera equipment was used in the home of #1 overall pick @Joe_Burrow10 to film his reaction during the live broadcast.@NFL | @Bengals | @NFLDraft pic.twitter.com/15H37IsuUy
