Joe Burrow blazing through the Cincinnati Bengals defense at training camp isn’t exactly a stunning development anymore.
While Burrow had a rough Sunday at times on the practice field near Paul Brown Stadium thanks to a tough pass rush, he seemed to turn it back around Monday.
Burrow was on fire for most of the day, including at least one notable drive against the Bengals’ first-team defense that ended in a beauty of a touchdown lob to Auden Tate.
Per ESPN’s Ben Baby, Burrow finished 16-of-20 with two touchdowns during team drills and 11-on-11s. A combination of a strong pass rush and a rookie sometimes holding the ball too long have understandably hurt him at times, but Monday was another good example of his quickly adapting and hurting a first-team defense.
And again, this is more important than usual due to the lack of preseason games this year.
Joe Burrow and first team offense just started at own 20 yard line with 1:30 on the clock vs first team “D”. He calmly completes 5 of 6 passes ending with a TD to Auden Tate on a great throw between two defenders

The highlight of Joe Burrow’s day was a long TD pass to WR DaMarkus Lodge. Burrow tossed a perfect ball 40 yards down the field. #Bengals
