Chances are if you’ve ever been to a sporting event in person and you are 21 or over you have enjoyed a cold, adult beverage while watching the game or event. It’s a nice little way to pass the time and take it all in.
Well, Joe Buck, who I think is the GOAT of broadcasting, is just like us – though he used to enjoy a drink while sitting in the booth and calling a game.
For real.
Buck opened up about this while talking with Colin Cowherd, saying he used to have someone get him the biggest beer they serve at baseball stadiums and he’d sip on that during the game to remind him that he was at a sporting event so he wouldn’t take things too seriously.
Later while calling football games, he and Troy Aikman would have a tequila/Grand Marnier/grapefruit juice drink to calm the nerves.
