J.J. Watt to be featured on Wheaties box with brother

He and brother T.J. Watt of the Steelers become the first-ever brother combo featured. Watt’s foundation receives a $100,000 donation as well.

Former Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman J.J. Watt continues to find ways to remain in the news, all for good things. He played a decade for the Houston Texans and finished with two seasons with the Cardinals.

He has made history.

It is more of a cool thing than a big deal, but it must be an honor for Watt.

He and his brother, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt, will be featured on the next Wheaties box, marking the first time ever two brothers have graced the box. It is the first time since 1934 that two athletes will be on the box together.

The two along with their other brother Derek, an NFL fullback, will be on the back of the box.

The last three athletes to be featured by Wheaties have been gymnast Simone Biles (2022), Hall of Fame NBA player Michael Jordan (2021) and current NBA star LeBron James (2020).

As part of the honor, Wheaties is also donating $100,000 to Watt’s foundation, the Justin J. Watt Foundation “to help in its work of creating safe, after-school athletic opportunities for middle schoolers.”

The box will be available beginning in August.
