J.J. Watt thinks the Seahawks’ throwback uniforms are the best because he has excellent taste

J.J. Watt knows ball AND fashion.

Depending on your sartorial preferences, you can land anywhere on the NFL’s new throwback uniform spectrum.

Some believe the Philadelphia Eagles’ Kelly Greens stand tallest. Others might highlight the bright creamsicle variation belonging to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If you’ve got a taste for red, you might lean on what the New England Patriots have to offer us veritable fashionistas. There’s something here for everyone.

According to a known purveyor of fashion, J.J. Watt, though, the best throwback uniform belongs to the Seattle Seahawks. He even states that while acknowledging the greatness of the others. Seattle will wear its original blue uniforms from the franchise’s 1976 inception with silver helmets this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

And I have to say I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Watt’s sentiment:

How can you think otherwise? That blue matches perfectly with the silver pants, silver helmet, and old-school Seahawks logo. There is something so comforting about even seeing it in static photos. Now imagine how it’ll look in live gameplay. Take a bow, Seahawks. You hit a grand slam here.

Seattle will also wear these glorious uniforms in a late-November matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. I can’t wait to see them then, too.
