The Arizona Cardinals now have on their roster two of the greatest Houston Texans players in their history. They acquired receiver DeAndre Hopkins last year in a trade and recently signed defensive end J.J. Watt.
It so happens that they will get to face their former team this coming season.
The Cardinals are scheduled to play the AFC South in 2021.
They will host the Texans in 2021.
That means Hopkins and Watt will be reunited with many of their former teammates. However, Houston might have a different quarterback, as Deshaun Watson desires to be traded.
There will also be a former Cardinal player back in State Farm Stadium. Running back David Johnson, who was sent to Houston as part of the trade to acquire Hopkins, will return to Arizona for the first time.
For Hopkins, it will be more of a revenge game. For Watt, it will be a reunion game. Either way, it will be one to mark on the calendar once the schedule is released next month.
