Former sharpshooter JJ Redick has chimed in on the best player in the world debate. In 15 seasons in the NBA, the sharpshooter played against some really talented players. Since Redick has just recently retired, he was able to give an up-to-date perspective on who he believes the top player in the NBA truly is.
In an interview with Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Redick declared Nets star Kevin Durant as the best player in the world right now.
“What he’s been able to do post-Achilles has been nothing short of remarkable. From my perspective as a player and my peers’ perspective, he’s the best player in the NBA, and everybody else is sort of competing for that second spot.”
