When it comes to fantasy football, many don’t exactly view the Jacksonville Jaguars as a Mecca for talent. Sure in the past they’ve had guys like Maurice Jones-Drew, but overall the team hasn’t produced many big-time fantasy players.
However, when looking at some performances of the past, there is one Jags fans should especially be proud of and that’s the one Jimmy Smith put up Week 2 of the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens. In that game, against a historically good defense, Smith registered 15 catches for 291 yards, and three touchdowns. He also averaged 19.40 yards a reception that day.
As pointed out by Yahoo Fantasy below, that performance still remains the best in football since 1999 from a PPR perspective.

As many are aware, the Ravens team Smith beat up on that day not only consisted of an all-time elite defense with players like Ray Lewis and Rod Woodson on the roster, but it also ended up helping them win the Super Bowl that year.
There aren’t many that would disagree with the notion that Smith is the best receiver in Jags history. However, when it comes to all-time performances, none may stick out more than his unforgettable day against the Ravens in 2000.
