The San Francisco 49ers drew the perfect team in their attempt to bounce back from a rough 2020 season: The Detroit Lions.
Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance each have touchdown passes and the Niners are running roughshod over the hapless Lions and rookie head coach Dan Campbell.
Watch as Garoppolo floats the perfect pass to Deebo Samuel and the wideout comes down with it and makes the Lions’ secondary look silly en route to a 79-yard touchdown play that made it 38-17 after the PAT.
Garoppolo was closing in on a 300-yard day and Lance threw a 5-yard TD pass on his first NFL pass.
Great way to start the season for the San Francisco 49ers.
