Former Tennessee offensive coordinator Jim Chaney has been hired by an NFL team.
Chaney will serve as an offensive analyst for the New Orleans Saints in 2021. He served as the Vols’ offensive coordinator from 2009-12 and 2019-20.
Entering his 37th year of coaching, Jim Chaney joins the Saints as an offensive analyst. Serving as an offensive coordinator in college for 25 seasons at the University of Tennessee (2009-12, 2019-20), Georgia (2016-18), Pittsburgh (2015), Arkansas (2013-14), Purdue (1997-2005) and Cal State Fullerton (1988-92), the Holden, Missouri native and former Central Missouri State standout also has NFL coaching experience from a three-year stint with the St. Louis Rams, where he served as their offensive line coach from 2006-07 and tutored their tight ends in 2008.
