Jevon Carter is perfect starting point guard target for Chicago Bulls

As the Chicago Bulls search for a starting point guard, Jevon Carter could be the ideal target.

The Chicago Bulls have some important decisions to make this offseason as they look to improve their roster. Arturas Karnisovas has no interest in rebuilding his roster, meaning he will have to make some serious additions to the team if the Bulls hope to avoid another disappointing season.

Chicago’s biggest position of need will be the point guard spot, as they don’t have a starting-caliber point guard at the moment. Lonzo Ball went down with a knee injury 35 games into his Bulls career and has yet to make a return to the court. And there’s no indication that he will be back anytime soon.

So, as the Bulls search for new point guard options this summer, they need to find the perfect mix of affordable and talented. Milwaukee Bucks guard Jevon Carter is that to a tee.

Carter is coming off a breakout season with the Bucks that saw him notch career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, threes, three-point percentage, minutes, and games played. It was a phenomenal year for the soon-to-be 28-year-old, and he will likely look to capitalize on it in free agency.

Signing Carter for a  portion of their MLE could be a huge win for the Bulls, as he might be ready to take on a larger role. The hard-nosed defender would be able to help Chicago on both sides of the ball.

The most important development in his game has been his three-point shot, as he attempted 4.2 threes per game this past year on 42.1 percent shooting from deep – both career-best numbers.

For a Bulls team in desperate need of point guard play, three-point shooting, and defense, Carter could be the perfect free agent for them to target.
