Jets will have the 13th pick in the 2023 draft

Who are you targeting at No. 13 in the draft?

The road to the 2023 NFL Draft is officially underway and the New York Jets will hold the No. 13 pick in the first round.

The Jets were one of six teams to finish 7-10 — Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Tennessee and Cleveland were the others — but had the strongest schedule among those teams, which is why they’ll pick No. 13 while Atlanta will get to pick at No. 8.

The Jets currently have their original picks in each of the first five rounds. They were going to have two picks in the 6th round, but one of those picks will be traded to the Jaguars as part of the James Robinson deal. That pick will end up being the pick they acquired from the Texans in exchange for Blake Cashman back in March. The Jets will then have their original pick in round six.

They traded their pick in the 7th round to Tampa Bay as part of the 2020 Steve McLendon trade.

So as of now, the Jets are scheduled to have six picks in April and will enter the offseason with plenty of needs, including quarterback, offensive line, linebacker and perhaps safety and wide receiver depth.

The Chicago Bears will have the No. 1 pick in the draft, followed by the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks (via the Denver Broncos) rounding out the top five.
