Jets start near the bottom of first Touchdown Wire power rankings

The Jets start among the bottom five of Touchdown Wire’s first power rankings

It’s that time again. Time to see where the media stacks teams against each other. And…well, either avert your eyes or expect the expected, whatever your perspective is.

In the Week 1 power rankings from Touchdown Wire’s Mark Lane, the Jets start down near the bottom with a hill to climb, coming in at No. 28.

When Joe Flacco is the solution for your quarterback problems, you’re in trouble. The Jets will be in this position until Zach Wilson can come back from his knee injury.

This is going to be the norm across the media landscape, especially early in the season with Flacco under center, which we now know will be for at least the first three weeks of the season.

But a win over No. 17 Baltimore will certainly open some eyes and definitely bump the Jets up the ladder heading into Week 2.

The four teams below the Jets in Lane’s power rankings are the Panthers, Falcons, Bears and his bottom team, the Seahawks.
