The Jets get their offensive line help. With the 43rd pick, the Jets select Joe Tippmann, center, Wisconsin.
Some, including Dane Brugler of The Athletic, had Tippmann as the No. 1 center in this class. Tippmann brings a lot of size to the Jets’ line at six-foot-six and 313 pounds.
The Jets re-signed Connor McGovern, but gave him under $2 million. Tippmann will come in and can compete from day one but the Jets also have the flexibility to bring him along at their own pace. Either way, the Jets have their long-term center.
