Jets’ running game ‘clearly not good enough’ in loss to Vikings

It was another poor effort on the ground for the New York Jets offense against the Minnesota Vikings.

Out in London during their Week 5 matchup, the Jets only mustered up 36 rushing yards in the 23-17 loss.

Head coach Robert Saleh was direct about the struggles.

“The run game is clearly not good enough,” Saleh said.

Top running back Breece Hall led New York with 23 yards on the ground on nine carries. That was good for a 2.6 yards per carry average.

“I mean, it is what it is. At the end of the day, I just want to win,” Hall said via video conference. “If you don’t run for 100 yards, people will think you suck or whatever.”‘

That poor display running the ball came after the Jets had only 64 in Week 4 in a loss to the Denver Broncos. Hall had 10 carries for four yards in that one.
