The Jets placed TE Ryan Griffin on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday, per the NFL transaction wire.
Griffin is the second Jet in as many weeks to land on the list. DT Foley Fatukasi missed Sunday’s game against the Rams after coming in close contact with someone outside the Jets organization who tested positive for the coronavirus. He was activated on Tuesday.
Griffin, like his teammate, must spend a minimum of five days on reserve.
It’s been a quiet season for Griffin. A popular target a year ago, he has just nine catches for 86 yards and zero scores. He signed a three-year extension with New York last season. The deal is worth up to $10.8 million.
