Jermaine Johnson has confirmed what many figured was the case.
The New York Jets (1-1) defeated the Tennessee Titans (0-2) in Week 2 for their first win of the year. It came at a cost as Johnson went down with an Achilles injury.
After the win, head coach Robert Saleh updated Johnson’s status. Saleh responded to a question asking if Johnson’s Achilles was torn and the coach said “it’s unfortunately looking like that.”
On Monday, the full tests would happen. As those came and went, Johnson took to his social media account on X/Twitter to announce that injury was confirmed. His 2024 season is over.
In Johnson’s video, he remained upbeat as he was in the Jets locker room after their win.
