The Jets are hoping left tackle Duane Brown will be cleared for practice and be able to come off the physically unable to perform list this week, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
The Jets are hoping to get LT Duane Brown back this week. The veteran is undergoing tests today and if cleared, he’ll be removed from the PUP list, per team sources. The Jets should know more tomorrow.

Brown met with doctors for testing this week and the team is hoping for more information Tuesday. If he is cleared, the Jets can remove him from the PUP and get him back into this lineup this week. That would be great news for the Jets, who had been running Billy Turner and Max Mitchell as the tackles. That could soon become Brown and Mekhi Becton.
This would give Brown three weeks to get into game shape before the season opener September 11 against the Buffalo Bills. The next step would be getting Alijah Vera-Tucker and Laken Tomlinson back into the starting lineup as well as working Joe Tippmann back in from injury as well. But this news on Brown is certainly a positive.
