There was no mincing of words from the New York Jets offense following their season-opening loss.
The San Francisco 49ers took a 32-19 win in a game that wasn’t even that close. Aside from the Jets’ first drive on offense, there was little to be found.
The locker room was direct after the game.
“They whooped our a– today,” receiver Garrett Wilson said.
Despite getting in the end zone, running back Breece Hall felt similar.
“They just played harder than us,” Hall said per SNY.
On top of that, New York head coach Robert Saleh decided to yank quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the fourth quarter. A clear waving of the white flag which hurt.
The Jets (0-1) will need to use that as motivation heading into their Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans (0-1).
For more from Wilson, see the attached SNY clip below:
"They whooped our ass today and that's the reality of it. We've got to find a way to get better. The great teams will bounce back from this and that's what we plan to do."
