The Jets announced in a statement that their earlier presumptive positive COVID-19 test was a false positive.
New York received all negative results Friday evening from PCR COVID-19 tests, which included players, coaches and staff. Sunday’s game against the Cardinals will be played, despite earlier speculation.

Earlier Friday, all Jets players and coaches were sent home after a player’s “presumptive positive” COVID-19 test, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Jets followed through with NFL mandated protocols, which included player isolation, subsequent testing Friday evening (which resulted in all negative tests), and contact tracing.
The Cardinals were scheduled to fly to New Jersey as planned, even with the Jets’ presumed positive test. From here, the Jets and Cardinals are seemingly good to go for Week 5.
