Former Alabama wide receiver and 2018 Belitnikoff award winner Jerry Jeudy is slated to be one of the first receivers selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Of course, being in the spotlight comes with scrutiny from the public.
Today Jeudy addressed the media ahead of his participation in the 2020 NFL Combine.
One question that was asked was about the Star of David necklace he wears.

Jeudy explains that his friends and fellow teammates call him “Jeu,” short for Jeudy, which sounds like “Jew.”
He wears the Star of David, a symbol for Judaism, because of the “Jew” and “Jeu” sonic similarities.

Jeudy was quick to take to Twitter to apologize after there was buzz on social media surrounding the nickname and necklace.
