KNOXVILLE — Tennessee has kicked off game week for its next opponent in Arkansas.

The Vols and Razorbacks will kick off at 7:30 p.m. EST Saturday. SEC Network will televise the contest.

Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt discussed the Vols’ defensive line unit Monday, a position he is overseeing for the remainder of the season since parting ways with assistant Jimmy Brumbaugh.

Pruitt mentioned that Tennessee’s defense linemen need “to play lower.”

“To me, every play we should be four to six inches lower than what we are,” Pruitt said. “We don’t have a lot of really large men. There are a couple of guys, but all us need to play lower and play with more leverage. We need to play on the other side of the line of scrimmage.

“We need to be able to convert from RPO’s, play actions, off-the-run fakes and be able to convert from run blocks to pass blocks. We had a lot of really good work this week and we continue to see improvement there. There are a lot of positives and we’ll see how we do on Saturday.”
