[autotag]Jeremy Clements[/autotag] has been in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for 18 years and has compiled 464 starts. Over that period of time, Clements has had two wins, six top-5 finishes, and 37 top-10 finishes. Most notably, the driver of the No. 51 car won the Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway in August 2022. Now, Clements could be in a position for more victories in 2024.
According to Mark Setzer, the crew chief of the No. 51 car on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Clements is “up to 20 races or more,” where the organization will lease an engine from Hendrick Motorsports during the 2024 Xfinity Series season. This is a major story as Hendrick Motorsports provides high quality engines across the boards.
For Clements, this might be his best opportunity at competing yet. The 38-year-old driver is coming off the first season since 2011 where he didn’t earn a top-10 finish. Clements needs to reset, and there might not have been a better situation than what Hendrick Motorsports provides. In the best scenario, the No. 51 car could push for a playoff spot.
