Cleveland Browns training camp got an unexpected negative start when rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah tested positive for COVID-19. The teams’ second-round pick was placed on the reserve/COVID list on Sunday after the positive test upon his reporting to Berea.
It’s a blow for the Browns and Owusu-Koramoah, who is expected to compete for a starting spot. Due to COVID-19 protocols, “JOK” will miss at least the first few days of training camp.
Fortunately, Owusu-Koramoah is feeling fine. He tweeted out that he’s asymptomatic and thanked fans for the support and prayers for his health.
I’m feeling just fine. APTTMH. Thank you everyone. Peace be unto you all. 🙏🏿

He added to the tweet for clarity,
As in Zero Symptoms.*

It’s good to hear his health is fine. Browns fans are acutely sensitive to the impact of COVID-19 after seeing how it impacted Myles Garrett during the 2020 season.
