Jennifer Kupcho pockets $50K in winning Colorado Women’s Open

Jennifer Kupcho, a native Coloradoan, finished at the top of a deep Colorado Women’s Open field.

Jennifer Kupcho broke 70 for a third consecutive day to clinch the CoBank Colorado Women’s Open at Green Valley Ranch in Denver. The LPGA sophomore took home a $50,000 for her efforts, a sizable check at a time when mini-tour golf has been all that’s available for female golfers since the coronavirus pandemic stopped the LPGA in mid-February and the Symetra Tour in early March. The Colorado Women’s Open attracted players from all over the country with its purse of $150,000.

Kupcho, winner of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and 2018 NCAA Championship at Wake Forest, shot 67-65-68 to best two-time LPGA winner Carlota Ciganda by three strokes. Ciganda earned $11,725.

LPGA player Kim Kaufman closed with a 66 to take a share of third with former Georgia standout Bailey Tardy.

Southern Cal’s Alyaa Abdulghany earned low amateur honors with her T-15 finish a share of 15th.
