Jeff Heath sacrifices health for huge hit, somehow remains in game

Dallas Cowboys safety injures shoulder making critical third down defensive play.

Dallas Cowboys safety Jeff Heath gets as much heat as anyone on the roster when things go badly on the back end of the defense.

He’s had his shoulder looked at multiple times, most recently after breaking up a critical third down with the Cowboys trailing the New England Patriots by four points in the third quarter.

Somehow, when the Patriots got the ball back, Heath was able to return to the field.

On the day Heath has had five tackles, a quarterback hit and a pass defensed. He’s been critical in keeping the score close in a defensive battle being played in the rain and the wind.
