After the Kansas City Chiefs drove down the field and scored a touchdown on the game’s opening drive, things got worse for the Cleveland Browns quickly. On the team’s first offensive snap, left tackle Jedrick Wills went down with a right leg injury.
Wills had his right foot rolled up on from behind on Nick Chubb’s carry to the left side. The big rookie was in considerable pain as trainers tended to him on the field.
He showed a prominent limp as he left the playing surface with assistance. Kendall Lamm replaced him in the lineup. The CBS broadcast showed Wills limping into the locker room tunnel heading for the X-ray machine near the end of the Browns’ first drive.
