Jedd Fisch says Washington escaped Indiana without any major injuries

The Washington Huskies didn’t suffer any major injuries against Indiana.

The Washington Huskies suffered a 31-17 loss to the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington, and heading into the final month of the season at 4-4 during its first season in the Big Ten, his team appears to be mostly healthy.

When addressing the media on Monday, he gave updates on several players who suffered minor injuries against the Hoosiers and their status for Washington’s Nov. 2 against USC.

LB Alphonzo Tuputala

Washington’s leading tackler in the loss to Indiana went down in the second half but was able to return to the field shortly after. Fisch didn’t say anything about his status on Monday, which should be taken as a positive sign for his availability against the Trojans.

DT Sebastian Valdez

“He’ll be good to go,” Fisch said. “It was a stinger there at the end of the game, I think it was the third to last play or something to that effect, but he’ll be fine for Saturday.”

OT Drew Azzopardi

“I unfortunately don’t think I would say that any of our offensive linemen are at 100 percent health, or in a position that they could play the whole game. Drew, maybe, but he had a little bit of a foot sprain in the fourth quarter.”
