Jedd Fisch donates $1 million to Montlake Futures

Washington’s head coach made a generous contribution to its NIL collective, Montlake Futures.

The Washington Huskies invested heavily in Jedd Fisch after Kalen DeBoer left for Alabama following the national championship and in return, Fisch has made a significant monetary investment in Washington.

On Monday, Fisch announced that he and his wife, Amber, donated $1 million to Washington’s NIL collective, Montlake Futures.

“It was important for Amber and I to commit to continue creating incredible facilities here,” Fisch said. “The Big Ten is an arms race in itself in both NIL and facilities and operating budgets and travel budgets. We are going against the best of the best, and in this ever-changing environment of college football, I think it’s so critical to make an investment from the inside out so that our community realizes the commitment that we’re making is one that we ask others to make as well.”

While the head coach has also pleaded with donors to help the Huskies upgrade some of the little things that matter, like the school’s recovery facilities and nutrition program, he wanted to put some skin in the game to signify his commitment to Washington.

“As college football continues to change, we’re going to continue to ask for more support, and the Go Big campaign is the start. We’re trying to raise $300 million over five years, and we’re going to need it all. If we want to compete with the greatest programs and the top teams, we see what they’re doing. We see what they’re doing NIL-wise, and we see that their facilities are top-of-the-line. In the Big Ten, if you don’t have both, then you’re going to be left behind.”

Fisch has been a fierce advocate for Washington to continue to upgrade its facilities in an effort to make sure the program is on the cutting edge of everything it possibly can be in the world of college football, and backing the campaign with some of his own money is a great addition to his sales pitch.
