Jayson Tatum points to unlucky shooting, poor offense late as reason for loss to San Antonio Spurs

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum thought the team fought hard, despite losing a late lead to the 5-13 San Antonio Spurs.

The Boston Celtics could not seal a comeback victory, despite fighting back from a 15-point first-half deficit to take a lead late against a San Antonio Spurs team amidst a six-game losing streak. Celtics’ star Jayson Tatum chalked up the loss to poor execution on good shot attempts early and failure to score in the final minutes.

“You always can say we can play better right?” Tatum stated. “Obviously, we could, we can. We make a lot more shots, more easy ones. Myself or everybody down the line wishes they had some shots back that they would normally make that answer would be yes as well.”

The team came back from a large deficit, but then fell quiet in the final 3:21 as the Spurs finished the game out on a 15-0 run to take home the win.
