Jayron Kearse latching on with the Ravens after being dumped by the Lions

The safety was cut for violating team rules earlier this week

Jayron Kearse isn’t staying unemployed for long. Just a couple of days after being released by the Detroit Lions for a violation of team rules, the ex-Lions starting safety has resurfaced with the Baltimore Ravens.

Numerous reports indicate the Ravens are signing Kearse to the team as soon as he clears the proper COVID-19 protocols. He officially visited with the team on Wednesday.

The Ravens have a need for some reinforcements at safety as they approach a hopeful playoff run. Kearse had played relatively well for the Lions in the box safety role, but he wore out his welcome after reportedly missing a curfew prior to the Week 16 game.
