Junior running back Jaylen Wright enters his third season at Tennessee.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound running back discussed his physical improvement since arriving at Tennessee in 2021.
“I’m different in probably every aspect,” Wright said during fall training camp ahead of the 2023 season. “I’m different in my mindset, I’m different in my weight, I’m different in the way I run. I became more physical, more elusive.”
Wright has appeared in 22 games, recording 1,284 rushing yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, eight receptions and 30 receiving yards from 2021-22 at Tennessee.
Wright led the Vols in rushing yards last season (875). He is a member of the 2023 Fall Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
