The Miami Dolphins won their third-straight game on Sunday by defeating the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. Their victory was earned by great performances from a lot of their young, up-and-coming players.
On Tuesday, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and safety Jevon Holland had their play recognized by the NFL, as they were nominated for the NFL’s Rookie of the Week award. The two join Mac Jones, Elijah Moore, Micah Parsons, and Kwity Paye as nominees.
Waddle finished his day with a team-high eight receptions on nine targets for 65 yards and a one-yard rushing touchdown. Holland had a team-high seven tackles and a fumble recovery after Brandon Jones’ sack of Joe Flacco.
Without these guys, the Dolphins probably wouldn’t have strung three wins together, and everybody is acknowledging it now. This draft class could end up being a pretty solid one.
