In a game in which he set a Miami Dolphins record, former Alabama star wide receiver, Jaylen Waddle sprained his ankle and is now likely to miss the remainder of the regular season.
Waddle injured his ankle during the second half of the Dolphins’ win over the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve on their way to clinching their spot in the NFL playoffs.
Waddle is the Dolphins’ second-leading receiver behind Tyreek Hill and is one of Tua Tagovailoa’s most trusted targets out wide.
The 25-year-old Waddle has 72 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns this season and now has reached the 1,000-yard receiving mark in each of his first three seasons in the NFL.
#Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said WR Jaylen Waddle has high-ankle sprain and added, “Those can be tricky.”
This puts his availability for the rest of the regular season in doubt.
