Jaylen Waddle and Phillip Lindsay are coming off the COVID list

The head coach said they are coming off the list Monday.

The Miami Dolphins were without two of their best players on Sunday, but they were still able to get the 31-24 victory to improve to 7-7 on the season.

Luckily, the team is expecting to get both wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and Jevon Holland back from the reserve/COVID list on Monday, according to head coach Brian Flores.

Waddle’s presence was sorely missed in this game, as some of the Dolphins’ receivers were having a hard time separating from their defender. His skill set really would have helped Tua Tagovailoa find a target not long after the snap as he’s done all season.

Holland was surprisingly replaced by Nik Needham for a majority of reps at the safety spot opposite Brandon Jones. Needham mentioned this was his first time playing the position during his media availability on Monday, so having someone who has played the position probably would’ve had a benefit. Maybe the Dolphins don’t go down by 10 in the first quarter.

Miami was able to outlast the Jets without these two rookies, but they will need their help down the stretch if they want to make a run at the postseason.
