Boston Celtics teammates Jaylen Brown and Tacko Fall took over the official Instagram account of the NBA on Monday as part of the “NBA Together” campaign during the coronavirus pandemic.
The two players took turns answering questions from fans during an Instagram Live session as Brown told Fall the next championship is currently in the works, courtesy of Chris Grenham of Forbes.
“It’s on the way. It’s in the works,” Brown said. “We gotta earn it and we gotta keep working. We gotta take care of the little stuff. Everybody on the Celtics that’s watching, we gotta keep working. Celtics nation, I appreciate y’all’s love and support. Banner 18 is on the way.”
Tacko: “Banner 18, when’s it coming?”

Of course, the Celtics have 17 championships during their storied history in the NBA.
Prior to the NBA suspending the regular season due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Celtics were in third place in the Eastern Conference and had already secured a playoff berth after posting a 43-21 record. The Celtics were viewed as one of the favorites in the conference based on their play this season.
With the NBA at a standstill, and no concrete plans for resuming play, it is unclear if the Celtics will have an opportunity to play for their 18th championship this year but it is certain they figure to be around in the playoff race for years to come.
