When Boston Celtics Hall of Fame center Kevin Garnett is in the Garden, the energy level always cranks up to 11 even when he hasn’t played the sport that made him a household name for years.
And such was the case in the tilt between the Dallas Mavericks and Celtics on Sunday afternoon being played ahead of the Big Ticket’s jersey retirement ceremony. Star forward Jaylen Brown was feeling the vibes laid down by Garnett’s presence, and took it to the rack while sending poor Dallas big man Maxi Kleber to the shadow realm in the process.
Mix in a post-dunk dap with the man of the hour himself and the Georgia native, and you have an all-time Celtics moment materializing in large part on the strength of the energy both Boston stars bring to the court.
