Jaylen Brown‘s role with the Boston Celtics has looked significantly different to begin the new season. With so much playmaking talent around him, Brown has become more of a scorer, allowing his gravity in the lane to open up opportunities for others. However, it hasn’t always looked great and remains a work in progress.
In a recent episode of SDN Sport’s “The Objective Basketball Podcast,” Adam Taylor of Celtics Blog and USA TODAY joined the show to dive into the Celtics’ hot start to the season. He also discussed how Brown’s role has evolved following the off-season additions of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday.
The biggest criticism of Brown in recent months has been regarding his ball-handling and decision-making ability. In his new role, Brown finds easier passes and gets high-quality looks.
While the Georgia native might not be the ball-handling star many expected him to be, he could thrive as a primary offensive weapon for Joe Mazzulla‘s team.
