The Boston Celtics spent the first half of the season dodging juggernauts in the East while walking the dreaded treadmill of mediocrity, but in the second half of the season, they have become that juggernaut instead, taking down all comers as their top-rated defense and growing offensive capabilities overwhelm their opponents.
And much of that overwhelming play is anchored in the game of star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown; most recently he helped lead Boston to a win over the Denver Nuggets and Most Valuable Player (MVP) candidate Nikola Jokic. Brown put up 30 points, 6 rebounds, and a steal in 34 minutes of playing time, shooting 12-of-19 overall, 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe.
