Jay Cutler has FINALLY caught the ‘chicken serial killer’

The mystery that captivated so many people for the last week is OVER.

Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has used his Instagram account — @ifjayhadinstagram, which is just a terrific handle — to allow us all to watch as he tried to catch whoever or whatever was killing his chickens.

Just a day before, we took another look to see Cutler set up cameras and traps to no avail.

But on Wednesday? It’s OVER!

Cutler informed everyone on his Instagram story that he was setting up in a tree stand with his nightvision goggles to see if he could catch the culprit … and he did. It turns out to have been a raccoon.

Ok. Long night. Had a pretty good storm come through. All is well and happy to report it was a raccoon. Which fits the evidence. Chicken heads were ripped off and bodies were left in the chicken yard. Gruesome stuff but reality of the situation. Ladies are now safe and sound. We can all sleep well for a few nights. Unfortunately I’m sure this raccoon has some family members. @christensenarms will be contacting the winner via email. Congrats on your winnings. While this saga is sadly ending, I’m sure there will be more. Stay tuned…
