Former Vol JaVonta Payton to play for Arlington Renegades.

Former Vol wide receiver JaVonta Payton will play for the Arlington Renegades of the UFL in 2024.

He played for the Vols in 2021 under head coach Josh Heupel. Payton recorded 18 receptions for 417 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns at Tennessee.

He appeared in 13 games, including 12 starts, and averaged 22.9 yards per reception, leading the SEC among receivers with a minimum of one reception for game.
