It’s been another eventful week for the Washington Football Team in regards to the future name change.
On Monday, the team released the latest “Making the Brand” video, which featured team president Jason Wright, head coach Ron Rivera and general manager Martin Mayhew. Wright names three possible nicknames for Washington, in which Rivera reveals which one he likes the best.

The names, of course, are redacted in the video, leading to a flood of speculation on social media.
In that video, Wright all but confirmed the team was down to its final three choices. Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post later confirmed the news via the team.
One website said Washington had a final list of eight nicknames from the video. The team then chose the final three contenders from the list of eight.
Wright went on Twitter Thursday to say that wasn’t necessarily the case.
Just to be clear, because everyone keeps asking, we are down to and working through a final three but this is no form of final 8 list. These are just a selection of names that happened to show up in the video our team produced. https://t.co/IzeMAE64EO

How refreshing is it to see the team put an end to rumors that take a life of their own?
According to Wright, the eight possible nicknames in the picture were on the video but were among many the team actually chose from — not the final eight.
