Jason Witten wasn’t happy.
How could he be?
During Thursday Night Football, the Dallas Cowboys looked like a disaster near the end of the third quarter in their battle with the Chicago Bear to see who is truly the most unwatchable 6-6 team in the NFL in 2019. While Witten was on the sideline watching film with one of his coaches, the tight end had a clear outburst of emotion.
It wasn’t the only heated exchange.
During a timeout break in the third quarter, Witten was also fired up when speaking with coach Jason Garrett, offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and offensive line coach Marc Colombo, according to The Dallas News’ Calvin Watkins. The FOX broadcast seemed to catch just one of those moments on camera.

The Cowboys lost two consecutive games entering Week 14. Witten, meanwhile, came out of retirement to help the Cowboys in 2019. Surely, he didn’t leave the broadcast booth to take part in Dallas’ meltdown. The only consolation is that he might end up the team’s head coach, if coach Jason Garrett gets fired. I’m kidding (I think).
