The Philadelphia 76ers are in the midst of a coaching search for the first time in seven seasons after firing coach Brett Brown on Monday. So far, there has already been a list of candidates for the job, but there appears to be two new options as well.
One would be future Hall of Famer Jason Kidd who after a successful NBA career had coaching stints with the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks. He went 183-190 during his time as a head coach guiding the Nets to the playoffs in his one season there and guiding the Bucks to the playoffs twice. He is currently an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kidd could be an excellent choice to work with Ben Simmons considering they both had similar games. Kidd was a triple-double threat night in and night out during his career in the league and he eventually added a jump shot to his arsenal.
The other candidate would be current Houston Rockets player development coach John Lucas. He spent time as a head coach with the San Antonio Spurs, the Sixers, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has a career record of 173-258.
The #Sixers may another respected coaching candidate. Sources have said Houston Rockets player development coach John Lucas is interested in a second go-round as the #Sixers head coach.

The important aspect in any new coach has to be to bring accountability to the team and to get the most out of an awkward roster moving forward. [lawrence-related id=37259,37255,37249]
