Jared McCain, Kyle Filipowski invited to NBA Draft Combine

The NBA invited 78 prospects to the 2024 NBA Draft Combine next week in Chicago, and Duke’s Jared McCain and Kyle Filipowski will make the trip.

The NBA announced that 78 players will travel to Chicago for the 2024 NBA Draft Combine from May 12-19, and former Duke stars Jared McCain and Kyle Filipowski will both be among them.

McCain and Filipowski, two presumed first-round picks, will work through drills and scrimmages for NBA teams and scouts in hopes of further bolstering their stock.

Filipowski, a Second Team All-American last season, averaged 16.4 points and 8.3 rebounds this season. At 7 feet tall, the New York native blocked 1.5 shots per game, but he also averaged 2.8 assists and shot 34.8% from beyond the arc.

The sharpshooting McCain only spent one season in Durham, but he put up 14.3 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 41.4% from 3-point range.

The duo are the only two Blue Devils to declare for the NBA Draft this year.
