Jared Goff did a nice job against the Cowboys last week, taking what the defense gave him without forcing the issue. He came out firing against the Eagles, though, making nice throw after nice throw to start the game.
Goff completed his first 13 passes of the game before his 14th fell incomplete, looking great on just about every single throw he made. He also threw two touchdown passes in the first half, both of which went to Tyler Higbee.
Goff’s 13 straight completions is the longest streak to start a game this season, surpassing Russell Wilson’s mark of 12 from Week 1. It’s still early in the season, obviously, but that’s a great start to a game nonetheless.
Goff finished the first half 13-for-14 passing with 158 yards and two touchdowns. His passer rating was a near-perfect 153.3.
Here was his first touchdown pass to Higbee.

Unfortunately, even with Goff’s outstanding performance, the Rams went into the half with only a five-point lead. Cooper Kupp fumbled a punt inside the Rams’ 15-yard line before the half, which the Eagles recovered and turned into six points.
