Jan Blachowicz says Paulo Costa turned down UFC fight offer; Costa responds: ‘I’m in all day’

The UFC is trying to book Jan Blachowicz vs. Paulo Costa in a light heavyweight bout, according to both fighters.

It appears the UFC tried to book [autotag]Jan Blachowicz[/autotag] against [autotag]Paulo Costa[/autotag] in a light heavyweight bout, though whether it comes to fruition remains to be seen.

UFC 288 recently lost it’s co-main event bout between Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush due to injury, leaving Dana White looking for a new co-headliner for the May 6 event in Newark, N.J..

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Blachowicz (29-9-1 MMA, 12-6-1 UFC), who recently called out middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, Wednesday accused Costa (14-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) of rejecting a fight with him for UFC 288.

Costa, who saw his UFC 284 fight with Robert Whittaker fall apart after failing to come to terms with the promotion, confirmed the UFC offered the fight and said he’s game to fight Blachowicz.
